Spiral Point taps are designed for thru hole applications. The spiral point pushes the chips forward and out the bottom of the hole, this helps to eliminate torn threads in the work piece. Spiral Point taps come in a wide variety of sizes including fractional, machine screw, and metric sizes; as well they come in optional numbers of flutes.
